AMS Pneumatic Press
The AMS #AP-2 Press enables quick installation of self-fastening hardware onto backing boards and wood frames. Its work surface is made of a 12" x 18" (30cm x 46cm) steel plate that is 1/4" thick; a measuring tape is attached to the right and left edges. The press includes safety features of (1) a clear acrylic front guard, and (2) twin recessed buttons that activate mechanism only when simultaneously pushed by both hands of operator. A 2" (5.1cm) stroke is preset and needs no depth adjustment. Use magnetic die heads listed below.
The AMS #AP-2 Press runs via compressor at a recommended air pressure of 10-100 PSI (2.7 - 6.8 BAR) with a maximum force of 3610 LBS (1640 kgs) - 0.36 CFM. An adjustable pressure regulator and gauge are shipped with press, however a compressor is a separate purchase. Press dimensions are 19.5" x 18" x 17" (50cm x 45cm x 43cm); weight is 93 LBS (36.6 kgs). |

Steel Guide for Air Press: This 42" (1.07M) long work surface fence is used as an easily adjusted depth stop in conjunction with the ruler tapes supplied with the table. It is also used as a lateral parts positioner when working with the stops included. |

Magnetic Die Heads
These Magnetic Die Heads are used on the presses detailed above for the installation of AMS "starburst" or "press-in" hardware. Hardware is held in place magnetically with two spring-loaded alignment pins that retract back into the die as part is inserted. Other die heads are available upon request. |
